401 Class - Discovering My Mission
God created you with a purpose. That personal, yet church-wide purpose, means connecting flawed human beings with our perfect and eternal God. Your own story of how God has worked in your life is one of the most effective tools you have for connecting people to God. In 401 Class, you'll learn to communicate that story to your neighborhood, workplace and around the world.
By using your own gifts, personality and story, you'll touch people only you can touch. Your life experiences can be a bridge to a friend or family member who is seeking Christ.
God's global plan includes reaching people from every nation with the good news of Jesus. In 401 Class, you'll get a picture of what God is doing throughout the world to bring His people to Himself. You'll also find out how you can be part of His global plan.
Finally, we'll share many opportunities for you to get started in sharing your faith immediately. At the end of 401 Class, you can pray about joining Eastridge on the greatest adventure of your life.
401 Mission & Vision Satement
To glorify God through support, training, sending, equipping ECC people into a life changing connection with Jesus Christ and each member showing the love of Christ through words and actions.
Scriptures That Support Missions at ECC:
1.) To fulfill the Great Commision of Christ. Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
2.) To minister to human needs. Matthew 25:35-40 (NIV)
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me... I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
3.) To show the love of Christ to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8 (NIV)
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witness in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
