Rainbow Ministries (Homeless Shelter)

 The Rainbow  Community Center's  mission is to defeat homelessness  and hunger, restore broken family relationships, end literacy, and clothe the poor in our area through Christ centered programs. How can you help?

  • Need volunteers to help pick up food donations from various locations in the Covington/Conyers area and deliver to shelter.
  • Shelter's kitchen needs volunteers to help assist and prepare meals. (Monday-Friday)
  • Food donations are always needed; canned goods, cooked or uncooked food.
  • Volunteers to lead weekly Bible Studies for men and women's groups.
  • Plan a special event for the children or adults.

Refuge Pregnancy Center 

Refuge Pregnancy offers a place of refuge for women and families who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy. Founded as a Christian based  facility in 1984, this establishment has grown in strength and spiritual power over its 23 years of existence.

Salvation Army                                                                                

The Salvation Army is an international movement that is an evengelical part of the Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Their ministry is motivated by the love of God. Their mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet needs in His name.

Some of the needs are to sort and organize donations, food and clothes drives, put boxes of food together for families in need.

Faith Works

This is a Christian  based organization that Eastridge and other churches is the area support on a monthly basis. They provide financial help for Newton County citizens with rent, utilities, ect. They are now open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon. They are looking for volunteers to recieve applications as well as receptionists, intake counselors and investigators.

Pine Valley Mission

Volunteer supported  childrens's mission located at Eagle Point Trailer Park. Volunteers from ECC provide church services on Sunday Morning. School supplies and school uniforms are supplied as needed during the year. Also Christmas presents from the Angel Tree are given to the Children.

Heavenly Dance Steps
